Hey All

Just trying to work out how rare oyster pink was as a colour option on slingerland drums 1960-67? Is it a desirable/ collectable colour?

Thanks!!

Fairly rare---meaning unpopular back then---meaning highly collectible now.

If the drums in the set have wraps that are pretty good matches to each other, the set has even more collector value.

Do you own them?

If you own them, please show pictures.

Are you looking to buy some?

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I would trade two of my kits for a pink oyster pearl!

I had a Rogers five piece set in that finish. The bass, two front toms, floor tom were factory wrapped in Pink Strata. That is the the Rogers name for the same wrap that Slingerland, Leedy, and Ludwig referred to by other names. Only two of the drums were close to looking like they came from the same batch of wrap.

Sometimes I put the 10x14 on a RIMS cradle to use as a second floor tom.
