The interior was perfect and the rerings are perfectly round..just the 3 ply ...

I almost think that a old wet pillow was left inside and soaked/damaged the shell just in the bottom portion, right in between the Spurs..

If you're gonna re-paint, then that bass is totally fixable. Get it dried out, pick away at the soft wood, Bondo it nice & smooth, fill all the other flaws, sand again (& again) & shoot some paint on 'em. Wrap is gonna make new heads tight, especially if any are already a bit out of round. Great sizes..........marko
