Tommy - Not that he needs it, but I can vouch for Jeremy. One of the nicest, most decent guys I've met in the forums and if you get to do any business with him, as trustworthy and reliable as they come. Jeremy is knowledgeable with a lot to offer and a good addition to the cast here.

Too many great drums to list here!

Oh, I have no doubt about any of that John!, and... ALL are welcome here! My point was that we LIKE being a taste "laid back" in our approach with the focus SHARPLY on Vintage Drums, and more so than just an overall category drum forum!

Thanks for making me feel at home guys. Yes, I'm a moderator over on DFO just like mlayton. I have heard references to VDF many times and thought I had an account here but couldn't find one. So I signed up!

Right now, I have the following sets:

- a Ludwig 70s 3ply restoration I'm still doggedly trying to complete

- a Gretsch New Classic that I'm about to trade away, it's nice but not for me

- a micro bop asian kit (for the kids - right?)

I don't really have photos of those listed, but once I get the Ludwigs done I'll take some photos. My life seems to be getting in the way of tearing them apart and cleaning everything that needs a polish. Every chrome part still needs TLC so that they look good once they are back together. I am 99% there with needed parts though, I am not sure what odd or end I might still need.

I really miss my Slingerland Nashville Studio King kit that I sold when I was in need of funds. The buyer told me he'd hold them for me and I could buy them back when I was able. I contacted him to start that process and he went back on the agreement and would not sell. crying2-07

Here's a picture of that set:

Jeremy - Did you sell those Legacy's? That was a sweet sounding set of drums when I got to play them at the Delaware drum show. Are they still around?

Nope, sold those long ago. They weren't what I was hoping for. Not that they weren't excellent drums. I guess I'm just picky and I have a sound in my head that I still go after. The Nashville Slingies had it.

Wait around here long enough and one will come up for sale. There has been a few of those through here in the For Sale section. Keep an eye on it, rare kits and killer deals do come up. Start chucking silver dollars into the piggy bank now, so you'll be ready when one shows up.

Ouch! On not having that slingy kit anymore, that must have been a tough loss. That kit is gorgeous.
