I need one of these Last viewed: 1 hour ago
There has got to be someone, somewhere with one of these! I will not give up my quest.
Well here is a question, would a non extended strainer work with an extended butt?
Lucky, what is the hole spacing for the butt part ?.... not the extender part.

Kev, I think it is 2 1/4. I put on a Radio king extended butt which has three holes and the bar for the attachment of the wires all in one. It has a series of three holes, fit without drilling. The only problem is that it is a bit too far above the bearing edge. Brought the drum into my drum store and had a discussion with two other knowledgeable players about it. They both tend to agree that without the butt being almost level with the edge that when the snares are on they won't lay flat and they will just make contact at the edge.(extended wires). I could leave it as is with the non original Radio king butt, which sounds pretty good and 14" wires. I like the way the extended butt streches the wires but my anal retentive nature pushes me on! I will try and post some pics later today on a new thread.
Granto, I have not but I will.
Thanks!
