Looks to be a super ten from 76 ,but need advice as to what snare it actually is.
ID Rogers snare Last viewed: 3 hours ago
Were these later ones steel shell? I thought all Dynasonics were brass.
Red Ripple '70's Yamaha D-20 20b-12-14f
Piano Black Yamaha Recording Custom Be-Bop kit 18b-10-14f
Snares:
Yamaha COS SDM5; Yamaha Cobalt Blue RC 5-1/2x14; Gretsch round badge WMP; 1972 Ludwig Acrolite; 1978 Ludwig Super Sensitive; Cobalt Blue one-off Montineri; Yamaha Musashi 6.5X13 Oak; cheap 3.5X13 brass piccolo
Steel is what the ad says.
I don't think the seller knows what he has.
I'm not a big Rogers expert, but the price is cheap enough to warrant a looksee.
ALL Rogers metal Dynasonics were COB. They never made a steel model. As mentioned, the drum shown here is indeed a COB Dynasonic!
Tommyp
No USA Rogers Dyna-Sonic was steel. The 89 ad is for an Island Music Import Rogers... steel. Rogers USA ceased production in 1984. The last Dyna-Sonic chrome drums were just as brass as the first ones. The drum in the picture is a Chrome over Brass shell 1978.

Just picked it up .
Was Dyna ,but missing snare mechanism.
Decent shape and it was $70 bucks.
Just going to convert to a brass Powertone as I'm not a big fan of that snare mech.
Buy the frame, send both to me. When it comes back you will be a fan.
