Identification Help Requested Last viewed: 40 minutes ago

I'm hoping someone can help me with identifying the snare drum in these pictures. The tension rods are slotted hex shape. The drum is very light weight. Looks to be COB. No badge. Any ideas?

Thanks. I thought it looked a lot like the L&S snare on this page. 7th drum down.

You sent me on the right path, Mike. Started searching for pics of Leedy's after your suggestion. Now it's decision time. I'm not really interested in the MIJ's, but the snare, hardware, UFIP and thin trans stamp make it interesting. There are also some old sticks (pair of Gretsch) and brushes.

I wonder why there's no badge on the snare? That's the part that bugs me a little. COB...how old could it really be?

didn't chrome some out in 28 or 29? something like that...I thought maybe leedy , but the strainer wasn't matching up. never thought about leedy & strupe. that's a nice package of stuff that you've run across for sure..

Looks like a mid 1930's "Service" model. Incorrect WFL strainer has been installed. Butt side is correct. At that time, an oval badge with no vent hole would have been mounted.
