Identification my Ludwig Hollywood Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hello,

I would like to know it is possible to determine the exact year of my model?

Person who sold the equipment says it is a 66's but the serial numbers are proving that this is not a uniform 66 years.

I would like to know if there is any way to check the drums are from the 66's?

Well, they didn't make mod orange in 1966. Secondly, and most importantly, the wrap on your kit appears to be the 2003 version of the wrap. It looks to me like a re-wrap.

The grommet dead give away for rewrap... Nice though great players kit

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

So wrap is from 2003 while the drum is what year? It must be from the 60's because the shell is white inside, right?

Could be 60's, could be painted white and new? Are there date stamps on the inside shell, across from the vent hole?

Did Ludwig offer the curved kick legs in 1968?

For the most part, the shells appear to be legitimate mid-60's. While difficult to tell from the small pictures, the interior Resocoat paint looks original, as do the BB mufflers. I've read that the smaller curved spurs may have been used in 1968. I don't see any additional holes in the bass drum interior to suggest they are not original. The BD shell could be old stock with Reso interior. The picture of the floor tom leg bracket shows it to be the P-1672 bracket, introduced in 1961 and used for only one year. We all agree on the year of the wrap. I would say that the shells and most hardware have value. If the wrap is easy to remove, the kit is a perfect candidate for a nice re-wrap. All this depends on getting the kit for a low cost!
