I'm going to take a look at this bass drum today, but I don't really know what it is. The seller says he thinks it might be Slingerland, but I have my doubts on that. Here's a picture, but its not very good. If I buy it I'll post some better pictures.

Probably Asian firewood. 6 lugs.
I agree. It looks like a Crap-O-Nese drum-----not one of the better vintage Japanese drums.
Get a pick of the inside of the shell. This is not a Slingerland, it is a MIJ, however, don't discount the tonality of it just for that reason. It is worth about 35-45 bucks, no more, because it is a 6 lugger, but if it is as I suspect a 3 ply shell, you may be pleasantly surprised by the tones, and overtones, of the shell, heads aside.
It looks like a Star badge tat reads "Made In Japan"...and the lugs also suggest this as well.
"I enjoy restoring 60s Japanese "stencil" drums...I can actually afford them..."I rescue the worst of the old valueless drums for disadvantaged Children and gladly accept donations of parts, pieces and orphans, No cockroaches, please...

It probably has a Slingerland head on it and that's about it. Looking at the size of the rail, it may be only a 16 or 18" bass drum. 6 lug wouldn't be too bad for that size. Do you already have drums to match this or do you plan to use it for something else?
Thanks for the info guys. I didn't have a specific use for it, but it was cheap so I figured I wood check it out. I looked at it today and passed. It was pretty much crap. It was missing parts, not 3 ply, and I think the hoops were plastic.
Yes, the badge did say "made in Japan".

Potsy24, If the drum was a 18" i would have pick it up if not over 30.00-40.00.An 18" M.I.J. 60's bass drum is a rare size to come by...Mikey
How about this stuff? I don't recognize the bass drum, but its got a pretty cool BOP wrap on it. The one snare stand looks like Ludwig but has no markings. The height adjustment screws on both stands are stripped. These pieces came with some other stuff I bought. I just want to make sure they aren't worth anything before I sell/give them away.
Your bass drum is a Rogers 360 or 380 made sometime from 1965-1970...I can't recall the finish name..On these Rogers drums they are made in japan and sold by Rogers but are the low end Rogers not the top of the line of Rogers drums...On the snare stands the one on the left is a 70's M.I.J. the one on the right looks to be a Rogers 360 or 380 stand....Mikey
Thanks Mikey, you guys are great. I tried looking at Rogers stuff, but I missed the 360/380. Now that you pointed me in the right direction, I think the snare stand on the right is the 48-0502 Supreme Drum Stand shown here:
