That guy was having a blast playing those Premiers. I like that. Sometimes it's all about just having fun banging away and making some noise. Cool bass and floor sounds, to boot.
I would say that's a D605 kit, but the mount looks 'off'. Either way, pretty slick.
You can nab a 444 model tom (14x8) as they appear fairly often. It's kinda like the Rogers 14x14 ... they are placed in the rare category, but we find them for sale fairly often ... don't we. The good news is the price is very reasonable for one of those. Most Premiers just don't hold high dollar values these days. Good drums.
i love the sound of those 14x8's they have really got that keith moon sound.and i like his playing!
This cat has technical chops, just drum solos IN GENERAL make me yawn.

That kit is pretty modern 70s-80s maybe
Sizes, 22 bass, 13 x 9, 14 x 8, Floor toms, 16 x 16, 16 x 18
I seen one for sale last year on Ebay UK
Bunnyman, what kind of vintage kit are you looking for? Colour? Sizes? I have plenty of contacts in the UK, right now, I have a couple of wmps, a Soundwave kit, and a Blue pearl, 4 piece with piccolo snare
Sure, Captn., that it's a 13" x 9" and not a 12" x 8"? The pic's angle might irritate me ...
It's not that costy (could say: it's really cheap), to buy a nice vintage Premier ..... unless you're outside from UK ... Hurting The shipment charges are a real killer.
@ TS: Don't try to collect a drumset like this together step by step. That'll make it much too expensive and will definitely put your patience to the test.

I think those drums are mid 1970s.
The have the "70s" badge and the oval post tom holder which came in Mid-70s
The toms look like sizes that were produced in the early70s but the metal finish is unusual till mid - late 70s
Sizes: the near rack tom looks 14 x 8 and the far one is probably 12 x 8, (although given that the guy thinks he's Moonie, it could be a second 14 x 8 !!)
Along with one 16 x 16 floor tom, this was a standard Premier set-up.
Again it's hard to tell but he could even have two 16" FT - either that or maybe a 16" and an 18.
Sometimes it's just very difficult to tell due to camera angles and lens distortion.
update: i saw this kit in the flesh last week and it looked and sounded fantastic!

I have been putting together a mongrel Premier kit for awhile. I like 14" rack toms, 16 and 18" floors and 24" kicks. As far as colour, I love red sparkle, but I don't particularly care if anything matches. I like the long lugs rather than the short, art deco lugs on the rack and kick drums. As long as everything uses international sized heads, I am cool.
The operative word here is want a cheap Premier kit.
Thanks in advance.
