Hey Rob. More than likely a President Series. Can you please post some pix? The lugs are the telling feature, usually, on the early years. So, are the wood/fiberglass shells? Or just fiberglass and wrap?

I will get some pictures up tomorrow. The shells are blue oyster wrap on the outside, then 3 ply wood , then there is a spun/ centrifuged of fiberglass that is about a 1/4 inch thick.

After looking at your photos the 22".12",13"16".18" are from about 1972-74 yes the shells are wood/fiberglass note on the drums two badges one reads Pearl the other reads wood/fiberglass..The 6",8",10",12" concert toms are fiberglass shells only these would have came out the same years as the wood/fiberglass shells did..Yes your set would be a good set to restore and play they are good sounding drums...Mikey

They are great sounding drums, and they have been extremely durable. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions as I start the restoration process..

Rob, take all the hardware off and polish it with automotive rubbing compound and a spin brush. Wipe it all down with a clean, soft cloth. Then take a mild soapy solution and a DAMP rag to the shells and wipe them several times to get all the crud off. Then polish them with Eagle One wet/dry wax. It works amazingly well. For the T-rods, take a handful of 0000 steel wool and some mineral oil. Run it in and out of the wool with a screw gun and the appropriate sized nut driver. It will clean all the rust out and lube them.
