Sure it's just a 6 lugger .. but the wrap and year matches.. Would a matching snare increase the value of the overall kit?

I've got a nice chrome SK behind it now. The catalog shows it with the chrome SK so maybe that's how it should stay.

Not a Guru... just interested..

Certainly wouldn't go down in value. Iwould think that is a hard snare to match. I would figure a max worth to me and then bid. Good luck.

The catalogs didn't show all combinations. During different era, chrome snare were the norm and wood were special order. Old Dynas were within $100 of chorme at the time I think.

Catalog shmatalog. If you have a matching set, and you are thinking about its value, get the snare if it is reasonable. It will increase the value of the set as long as the snare's condition is the same as the set or better.

This is especially true for the easy-to-scratch flame wraps such as this one.

Of course that's just my opinion, and I could be wrong.

I'm with you O-lugs... didn't mean to rip on 6 luggers.. I've got 59-60' WMP Slingerland 6 lug that is a great drum!!

Ive got a Red Ripple Rogers set....... and if I found a snare in 6 lugs, 8, or ten..... Leedy, Slingerland, or Rogers..... I would grab it quick.

I bought a Rogers blue strata Powertone to match my Londoner kit.

Man, it completes the kit perfectly. Go for it.....the price also looks good, right now anyway..............
