This is what happens when you huff paint thinner from a paper bag,and post on craigs list. That or the old "ball and chain",got on him to sell the drums, since he dosen't play them anymore, and take her on vacation.

So he says"sure honey,I'll sell those old nasty drums,I bet I could get 5 grand for them, then I take you on a cruise to Pango-Pango."

You only ask that much if you're clueless,or you really DON'T want to sell them. The guy could also use a remedial math class.

Hey...that's only a little over $700 per drum...that's not THAT far off the mark,is it?

I mean..... look at that ROCKER snare...$700 all day long, right?

Maybe some of us here should write "The complete idiot's guide to appraise vintage drums"...write it, fund it , print it and have the forum collect the benefits...Jeez! I can help with the "Wait, you're making an ass of yourself!" chapter!

That's too funny...Vinyl Vinnie....

That would be fun to see a 500+ page coffee table book with all the overinflated eBay/CL ads over the years.....

Oh Yes, Blair. I've seen a lot of those lately...The funnier one: This guy is been trying to sell these two toms for a long time now. $250.00. They come with the book: "DIY Re-chroming for cheap"

Oh yeah, the book is a GREAT idea! I'll certainly contribute. I've seen those rusty hulks on eBay last year maybe... a while back anyway. Five thousand for the C/L kit... yeah, that'll happen.

This is the perfect example of something I say almost daily:

The numbers are right...there's just too many digits.
