Congrats those are beautiful. Your going to love the sound so warm!!! The mellow WMP looks great I wouldn't do a thing other than the normal clean and polish. Soooooo nice!! Do try to find a nice Radio King snare. Solid maple of course!! Unless you already have one then nevermind. :D

Yeah i have a 50's dog tag 14x7 RK snare. Same finish. that will do for now.

Thanks for the support guy's.

Those are amazing and please do not drill them for spurs . As stated the hoop mounted ones work every bit as well and then the drum will not be forever altered .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

Holy ship!!!! Those are some AMAZING drums!!!!!!!

No reason to drill any holes in them as it's been mentioned. You are a lucky man!!! Enjoy!

Sweet Kit, I can''t wait for picks with the snare! Go with the hoop mount spurs. I use hoop mount spurs on my 30" Walberg & Auge and my 20" MIJ stencil and have never had an issue with the hoops.

Mighty fine set of RK's sir. Congrats!!

Extra holes won't hurt the sound but value will take a big hit. Something to ponder before proceeding.

Enjoy.

Nothing special here but I like them.

I've got almost the same thing; same sizes, same finish, similar year... Just not quite as nice as those... Don't have the original heads either. Seriously fun to play, especially the big 26. For what it's worth, I'm not really using Spurs at all, just got a 'bass anchor' on the front hoop and that's getting me by for now but will probably have to invest in some clip-ons soon.
