In terms of sound, what are the most desired Camco drums? Last viewed: 12 hours ago

I always wondered about this. I know there is at least the Oaklawn, Chanute, and LA years, and I'd like to leave out the Tama/Camco kits. I'd like to eventually find a kit, or maybe restore one. Before I do that(and/or win the lottery to pay for them), I need to know what learned people think the best Camco's are.

I have owned 2 Oaklawn kits. I've not played the others. All I know is, I should never have sold the first one. I'm keeping the second one. Never have had a Camco snare drum though. I think the only more desirable ones(other than Oaklawn) would be George Ways.

Oaklawn - Have an Oaklawn snare here where I teach and it's the sweetest wood snare I've ever played. Someday... It will be mine :)
