Information on a set given to me Last viewed: 17 minutes ago

Hello all! New to the forum, but I don't play nor collect. My uncle gave me this partial set as a return for a favor. After asking around about this set, I was pointed here for more information about them, so I can be an informed seller.

Here is an album of pictures of them, plus a decent amount of hardware (most made by DW)

As far as I can tell, neither the tom has a badge, but the WFL snare does have a badge that indicates it's from 1948-1952.

The floor tom measures 16.5" across and about 17" tall. The tom is 13.5" across, 10" deep. And the snare is 14.5" by 7" deep.

So would anybody have an information for me? Maybe an interested party in Detroit that would come by, have a peek, maybe take these off my hands? Haha!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time

Buster - without listing individual prices, if you sell the stuff off piece-meal... uncle gave you about $300 + of drums and hardware. Check going prices for similar items on ebay, then list it all in the For Sale section here at VDF.

It'll get sold! I'm already hot for the snare and the rack tom! Best of luck with your sales and remember to give uncle a big hug and a thank you. He treated you well!

BTW, the sizes of your drums are:

Snare: 6.5"x14"

Floor tom: 16"x16"

Rack tom: 9"x13"

We (drummers) measure by shell size, not overall measurements. Use my numbers when you advertise them.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Tons realy ( at least lugs) look like Ludwig. But that separation, on floortom - are they rewraped perhaps?

I'm near you and would gladly 'take them off your hands'.

Seriously, the gold drums appear to be Ludwig based on the hardware. They also appear to be re-wrapped, since the badges are missing. I will send you a private message in a moment.

Thanks for the help everyone! I'm talking with a few people and working things out, but finding proper asking prices for these is proving difficult
