Odds are that it won't match. I bought some a few years ago and it's too shiny. I sat it out on my back porch for a summer thinking maybe it would fade and dull. It did a little, but it's not really the fading as much as it is that the wrap just is different than what is made today.
My kit came without a 14" tom and I found one on Ebay, and it looks original to the kit, so it's not like mine has faded to some odd variant of what the original was. It has just aged normally.
I did buy some old Rogers inlay thinking that it might work, but it was to narrow and the color as well wasn't the same.
In the end, since I only had to fill a few spots, about a quarter of a hoops worth, I used the Precision wrap on the bottom of the hoops where I can't see it.
