Hi there, my name's Al and i live in northcentral Washington State. My first snare drum was a 1964 Ludwig Pioneer in blue duco; now as an adult I am the new owner of a badly abused Ludwig Standard kit in Blue Strata which I will be restoring to playable condition over the next few months. I had been thinking to pick up a vintage Ludwig kit for a while now, and lo and behold someone just gave me one free (well, it needs about $400 of work, but other than that, it's free).

Thanks for the cool pics and passion for vintage gear, quite cool!
