Is it worth buying this Slingerland? Last viewed: 4 minutes ago

I will get more pictures and a price tomorrow, but (considering the condition) is it worth buying this Slingerland Snare? Would it clean up?

What model is it? Is it possible to get a replacement "knob" for the Strainer?

I always have been more a Ludwig guy, but if the price is right i might be tempted...

If it were me; if the price is less than $50 I would get it and clean it up. Gerald.

That shell should clean up easily. That's a brass sound king and they do sound very nice. One of my all time favorite drums is a 6.5x14 sound king from the 70's. The hoops are chrome over steel so if they are rusty they won't clean up as well as the shell. A lot of people dislike the zoomatic strainer. I'd think it would be worth more than $50. If you mostly have Ludwig aluminum snares a brass snare might be a cool thing to have.
