From FloydZKing

You do know it's the same drum, right? Different finish, 8 or 10 lugs. 2 door in red, 4 door in blue, same car.If you're worried about being seen in the right company...

I miss my Acrolite!!!!! I have a 5" Supraphonic, as well as a 6.5" Supraphonic, love them both. Just waiting for another Acrolite to come home, got one you want to let go FloydZking,:)

I have been getting one my 70's Acro's tuned up and going to use it this Sat. This one is in excellent condition and has the original snares. I have it cranked med high so it cuts through. I will adjust a final tuning when set up before I perform. I am playing my early 60's Slingerland orphan kit I rewrapped in vintage sky blue pearl and the light bluish grey Acro matches beautifully. I will be at "The Main Street Original Music Festival" in Daytona Beach Florida, stage 11 at 5:15 and stage 18 at 7:30 with "The Lucky Dogs" outside stages. The 7:30 is at the main Boot Hill Saloon stage. Come check it out and say hi if any members are performing there or coming. 18 stages and over 100 bands for this weekend. Pretty big event. I think it is a biker event too? Can't wait to see how the Acro is going to sound at these outside venues. Hope the sound guys are good.

Bad sound guys make gigs most unpleasant. I had the best sound guy in Germany. Always had the house sound amazing and gave me a perfect mix to my wireless in ears. The Acro is a cool snare but yeah the Supra (standard non COB kind) does not sound very different to my ears.

I played some Ludwig 13" (maybe supra) at Guitar Center today and fell in love. Never thought I would dig a 13" metal snare.
