From the pic of bearing edge, the color looks to be the flesh tone of Pearl FG.

But Allen did make amber shells.

And green, and pink and candy cane too.

To be sure, one would need to sand off the paint inside the shell to verify the color and FG roving pattern to determine if it is indeed a Blaemire.

If you sand it off and start seeing green,

Most likely, it is a Blaemire.

Also, if it is a Blaemire, there is a label embedded in the FG.

Somewhere on the inside of shell.

Allen's label would be inside the shell if it was a Blaemire. The FG color doesn't look right either. No Blaemire labels is a big tell.

So I just sanded the shell down a bit and it definitely looks like a Pearl fiberglass shell unfortunately. 😪

They're good drums just not Blaemires. Be patient buddy Blaemires don't come up for sale very often, but they do come up once in awhile. Took me years to find my Blaemire kit. Hang in there...

Yes sir, that is a Pearl.

But those drum shells are good too.

It is still a very nice custom kit.

Considering it's not a Blaemire but has all 60s Ludwig hardware/rail consolette/the wrap is in great condition, what do y'all think the value of this kit is worth?

Also, I found a link to a nice Blaemire bop kit on reverb but the shells aren't green. What do you think?

I contacted the CL seller when that ad first came out. I told him that he shouldn't advertise it as Blaemire because we couldn't see the tags inside. Its a nice kit though, just not a Blaemire.

The Reverb kit is kind of cool, but it's pieced together, with different generation shells. The seller is a stand up guy. I like raw shells, but that would be a cool wrapped kit. Price is fair.

As usual because he is an expert in these Blaemire matters.

The Reverb kit is a mix of shells from different eras.

The yellowy green shells are very early Blaemire.

You can tell by the amount of imperfections in the shells.

Eventually Allen perfected his methods and eliminated most of the brown spots.

In later years, he experimented with different colors of roving.

That is, the Fiberglass cloth/string.

The Reverb 14X14 is a color I call striped candy cane.

Amber/green resin with red roving.

I have a large kit in this color.
