Hey Gretsch folks, just thought i'd check out some info on what appears to be a Gretsch snare drum in a faded WMP. Seller has put a strip of tape on the head with the number 16", most probably indicating that it is 16 inch drum. I think this person does not know what they have and has measured the drum from rim edge to rim edge without removing it..Or maybe it's some type of tymp tom drum ? The only reason why i think it may be a Gretsch is because the lugs look like Gretsch to me from what i've seen on other Gretsch drums, but as i am not a Gretsch expert, i could be wrong..

Any other pictures of the snare mechanism? Hardly any identifiers in these two pictures.
Star-Hoshino. Probably a 12 or 13 rack tom. Nothing Gretsch or snare-like about it.

Probably a 12 or 13 rack tom.
I thought the same thing at first but it is 8-lug. I would find that odd for a 12" or 13" rack tom. Any 8-lug toms would have to be deeper than what is pictured.
The only company that put eight lugs on the 12" & 13" toms was the non star Hoshino. But this doesn't look like one of their drums based on what I can see from the lugs. My guess is this is a Star marching style snare. The drum is set in such a way that it could have a throw and butt and you can't see it. It's likely not a Gretsch, but I'd say it's a snare.

I think the number 16 is a reference to the age of the seller's wife... Walking
Looks like the Slingy copy MIJ lugs, although its hard to tell.
Do I see Die cast hoops?

No other pics except those two.. If it had more pics you guys would probably be able to tell a little better.. In any case, i tried to find a use for it, but i've got none at this point ;) The price was a ridiculous $7.00 !!!
for $7 I'd grab it up. Cheap enough where even if you sold it to someone for $20 you're making out good.
