If you're confused @ the screws, you're fine: it's still a JF.
What happens on VDF is when something odd is seen we ask a civil question about what it is or isn't. I have never seen those types of screws on a 60's Ludwig snare & I've been doing this for quite a while.
When I see something like this it begs the question of why this type of screw? Did someone take it apart & put the wrong ones back onto it, or worse?
