Found this locally on CL and may make a bid. Rims aren't original obviously but should there be that big washer under the Zoomatic? Thanks.

Thanks all, I wonder if that washer could be hiding something? Still waiting for a response back from the seller.

I assume if it's 1 ply (like a Radio King?) it's a super deal right?

It is probably there as a fix for an over tightened strainer to take up the slack.

Can anyone help with this. Am new to forum I have a supposedly 60s radio king snare, niles badge no 5603(early) but it has 10 lugs and no snare extension bridges, it's 5/12 by 14. Solid shell I think, and has 967a three point strainer. I apologise for not being able to send pics yet, as I know it would really help also the drum is a faded light green wmp. Can anyone explain why 10 lugs, and no ext bridges. About your drum I hope you find out why that is under the strainer.

Bummer, that washer under the Zoomatic was there to hide a hole - appeared to have been dropped on the strainer as the inside shell was splintered and glued beneath it. Oh well, back to searching...

If that is the price for the drum, it is well worth it. So, it's not perfect? I'd be happy with the drum at that price if the repair is not real noticeable to the exterior, and the repair permanently fixes the damage. We obviously have differing opinions of what imperfections are acceptable. Good luck searching for the perfect drum.

edit....I now see the washer under the Zoomatic. It's still not a turn off to me if the drum functions as it should.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
