Is This Zoomatic Butt Correct? Last viewed: 15 minutes ago

Loading...

So, I'm taking my Sound King apart for cleaning and adjusting. After taking off the butt, which was unfortunately a little rusty under some thick grime, I noticed a screw used to hold the round bar that goes across the bottom.

Is the screw correct? I would have expected something more like a pressed pin of some sort.

I know its nowhere near a collector quality drum, but looks like there is more that I don't like than I originally thought. This is what happens when you have a Dyna on your kit and don't switch snares.

There may be other questions as I get more into this.

Thanks very much.

And, I'm asking because I did check the Slingy book and ot doesn't show any details. I am amazed at that screw...can anyone post a closeup of the screw that holds the round bar?

It would be helpful.

thanks much!

Sure, just need to find a ruler. the picture specifically of the screw is to make sureit is original or at least looks original. It doesn't shine like the other chrome screws, so trying to see what a mint setup looks like.

Thanks.

Glad Kev gave you the distance!

Still would be helpful to see a closeup photo of the Zoomatic butt on the side where the screw head is.

The Slingerland book, while helpful in general, is not much help when it comes to details of what is correct in many cases.

Thanks.
