Just thank Ray that you had a proper restoration and not some yokel with a router table who would then inscribe his name in sharpie on your edges.
Haha - yes indeed.......I don't think my head would have been there with the "sharpie guy" but I know what you're saying.
Who knows.......down the road ....50 yrs or so maybe...someone that owns these marvelous drums will look at the historical record and say "holy s**t Ray Ayotte worked on these drums - and kept the bearing edges exactly the same as the originals - cool - these are worth double because of it." Just a nice little dream, but you never know how things will turn out with this drum stuff.
I mean who would have guessed that a drum that cost $100 50 or more years ago would be worth $25,000 to a collector today......it's madcap I tell you, madcap!
