Pre-badge and serial. Haven't seen another one like it, literally, anywhere. Only photos I can even find are old BR and GK set ups with a 20 like this. Excellent condition. I think it'll be the icing on the cake for someone with a kit of this era. Only pull it out now and then for recording gigs. All chrome A+. Legs A+. Wmp is also A+, with one very slight line of fade. All stock. Also very interesting is it left the factory with JET hoops.(you know the ones with two small holes for pedal mounting) I know in '66 this tom was available, but the history behind the 20" is very interesting. Just a very rare bird. I'd also dig a photo if anyone has one like it. Like to get 500 bucks and send it to a good home. Thanks very much. I'll ship it for free to anyone close by. Also just for fun www.goldengaterecording.com of some cool pics of my true love.(nothing kinky, i promise)

I know of one more just like it...not for sale. But that one and yours are the only WMP Sound King 20" 3 ply Floor toms I have seen or heard of in 35 years of collecting. Did it belong to a famous drummer who lived in the Bronx??

an old friend of ours (nearly 90) who was lucky enough to have had a pretty decent carrer playing in las vegas swears(thinks is more like it) its from a kit he saw auctioned there about 20 years ago. he said he also had to stomach seeing it and the rest of the auctioned kit parted out shortly thereafter. i've only had this piece for about a dozen years or so. who knows. real history would be a bonus. thanks for your input statuscymbal. always appriciated.
