I'm considering getting a jazz fest snare for my 71 super classics.
A 69 blue sparkle (would match my set) is on eBay - bidding at $305 but reserve not met.
I see others for 450, 500 and up.
Are these accurate?
Thanks.

I don't know. When I started to buy a BDP Jazz Fest for my Ludwig kit, I found one for $500, and everybody said that was too much. So I passed.
Better luck with your buying.

Patience is key I think. They can be had for cheaper but, as with all things, they sell for whatever a buyer is willing to pay. I have seen them going for between $200-$300 on a pretty regular basis...I think.
Do any members here have a blue sparkle w clear interior and possibly a blue/olive badge for sale?
Not a jazzfest, but a '71 pioneer....email me at if interested.

Hook up with me if you have ANY '60's Jazzfest's for sale in this price range! Can't have extra holes of course, but interested none the least!

I think that any unmolested Jazz Fest under $300 would be a bargain. I'd buy them all day long!
again in a perfect world a jazz fest would be cheap but we live in the real world as scarce as they are becoming im regretting selling my 2 pink champagnes at 550 and 450 and the rare down beat for 675 in silver should of kept them, good luck and any price under 450 is a bargain...
Is there much difference between jazz feat and pioneers?

Please show me where you've seen the Jazz Festival snare drums selling for $200-$300 on a regular basis!!!
OK, I stand corrected! A quick check of completed Jazz Festival snare drums on eBay does show a handful selling for under $300. However, the majority do sell for more. As already stated, patience may be the key!
