Jazz Festival Citrus Mod Tribute Drum! Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Just finished... and ready to take its place in my drum collection display! I've been working on this for some time now.

What you see started out as a Ludwig COW that I got from Backbeatkeeper (Gary). First, a very sincere "THANK YOU" to Gary, not only for the shell, with lugs and muffler, but for the time he took to completely remove all the old glue from the exterior and beige colored paint on the interior. A great job, Gary!

The drum was wrapped in Citrus Mod from Jammin Sam. No additional holes are in the shell. The strainer is an early P-85, with short throw arm and 1/2" mounting distance above the shell. The P-32 butt is also the 1/2" height variety.

I decided on the repro brass Keystone badge as I did find a few examples of "Mod" finishes with this badge. I was going to use the B/O badge, but the brass badge looks much better!

The snare drum came out pretty good. I hope you like it!

Mark

Your welcome my friend and as always, stellar work.

Super nice, my dream set would be a Ludwig super classic in Mod Orange (not many in the UK), John Densmore from the Doors recorded a large amount of The Doors recordings with this kit and boy did it look and sound sweet, a very nice snare drum thanks for sharing this with us and great job I love that colour.
