Jenkins-Martin fiberglass drum sound files Last viewed: 7 hours ago

Since you asked for them....

Our show drums are currently in the hands of Don Deniston (DED).

I had him do sound files on our drums.

He did change the heads from what I had on them at the show, which was Evans EC-2's on the toms, Emad batter and an un-ported front head we got from "Drum Art' (Force II). I think he left the Evans Reverse dot on the 6.5X14 snare.

Below is how he set them up for the recordings.

I will record them again with the Evans heads once I have them back. I will post again at that time.

"22 bass drum with Aquarian Super Kick 1 and the Evans pillow you had in the drum. Front head is a ported Ambassador

12 & 16 toms have clear Ambassador bottom, coated Ambassador top and zero muffling

Drums are recorded on an M-Audio Microtrack-II with a Tascam stereo mic just over the kit at head level. No EQ, compression, etc. and no other mics.

The room is small and padded down so there is little ambient coloring. It is not the most complimentary sounding drum room."

Damn, Jinx. :p

Those tubs sound EXCELLENT. Great resonance, real depth and the part I really like is, the toms cut out 'just right'. It bugs me when a drum continues ringing too long after you hit it. The Blaemires have all the rich, deep resonance I look for and then it cuts in time (gets out of the way,) not to interfere with the next drum.

Love the sound. Winner...

John

*Please don't forget to have Dave run some numbers for me.

Too many great drums to list here!
