Not quite sure what happened to the original thread that I created, but I will follow up here.

The reason I started this thread in the first place is because of the incredible jazz alumni playing on the show. I just never got a chance to discuss them.

The first couple of shows, we have Shelly Manne (ep1 and ep3), Mel Lewis, Milt Holland, and Jack Costanzo (Mr. Bongo).

Episode three opens with a great shot of Shelly doing his thing on a beautiful wood finish Slingerland kit. A thing of beauty.

So, if you get a chance to see the show, watch for the seriously cool jazz men doing their thing.
