I know many of you guys are likely aware of Jojo Mayer and his modern drum techniques but if you aren`t, check this out and this was done in 98`.Today he`s into electronic music and can play better than any drum machine and with the human feel. Also have a look at his three part recent series on "textural playing" on youtube-great stuff and well worth the time.

JoJo is amazing! I was lucky while in Germany to have tried his pedal at the Sonor factory when it was first released, get lessons from Benny Greb and Florian Alexandru-Zorn.

JoJo was way ahead of his time and I think in many ways the "truth teller" in terms of the future of percussion.
