They arrived this afternoon. It looks like I'll have a fun project next week. I have already determined that the wooden rim will work very well as a Bass drum hoop for the bottom side when I add lugs and a second head for a bass drum pedal. There were eight tiny screws holding that wooden hoop to the bottom edge. It is already off of the outside of shell, and has been placed on the drum shell as a bass drum hoop with a drum head for a "dry fit". It will work once I have added the lugs and tension rods.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
