He shoots he scores .... Again . Right on buddy . I am glad they turned out to be nice .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

How rare do you guys think this is? I often look on the bay and online but have seen just one tom in this color. Anyway few things need to be cleaned but this kit was born together and amazingly has all original parts. No extra holes or modifications.

Mike, I think you are correct on the sizes. Going through the catalogs it looks like that cymbal holder on the bass drum was around circa 1963. I will let you know about the finish when I pick them up. Looks like I will get another Pioneer after all.

I have that same cymbal mount on mine, and they are 1967.

1971 Ludwig Rock Duo set in Blue Oyster Pearl
early Mapex dual bass drum Saturn kit
1964 Leedy Ray  Mosca kit in Blue Sparkle
1959 Slingerland Super Gene Krupa snare in WMP
1968 Slingerland Hollywood Ace Snare Drum
1969 and 1977 Ludwig 400 Supraphonic snares
1965 Acrolite snare
Ludwig Coliseum snare
'68 Rogers Dynasonic snare
Pearl free floating piccolo snare
13" Mapex piccolo snare
6.5" deep Mapex steel snare
Mapex 6.5" Brass snare
I know there's more snares than that.

My 67 Clubdate has the tom style cymbal mount. This kit is date stamped 1965. All that nickle hardware is going to be fun to polish. Per old threads I have read going the pro route might be my best option.

Mike,

I was just about to give you a shout out because it was your thread mentioning the cod polishing cloths that I found a wealth of info.
