Kawai Drums and Zildjan Cymbals Last viewed: 18 hours ago

I have a 4 piece Kawai & Sons drum set I'm putting up for sale. I was just seeing if anyone knew anything about these drums and what a reasonable asking price would be. I can't find any information. Sparkle blue! I also have a 5 piece zildjian cymbal set that was used with. Any info on these too would be great. Everything has been properly stored and appears in good condition. No rips, tears, dents or noticeable damage...if you're in the Chicago area and are interested. Let me know. Circa 1960's. All pieces and parts appear to be there in a separate case. Thanks for your help!

There's not much of a market for the Kawai drums, so we mostly have to take a shot in the dark for value. I would guess $400 to $500 tops.

You're definitely going to want to sell the cymbals separately, there's a big market of people who want the cymbals but not the drums.

It all looks pretty cool, good luck!

Appreciate the help. I wasn't expecting too much on the drums and that seems fair. Is there any way to tell what type of zildjian cymbals I have?

This brand was discussed not long ago under this thread... http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=54361

While this brand did have some nice features, it's still an MIJ kit. As such, I'm just not convinced it's worth more than $400 tops. Condition is everything...and if someone out there is willing to take a chance.

Looking at the cymbals, they appear to be Zildjian A's, which are always in demand! To my ears, I always prefer the A line from the 60's and early 70's vs. anything new.

As stated, sell the cymbals separately!

I don't see a floor tom with the set. Without one I'd guess the set would fetch about $150.

The cymbals look like nice '60s or '70s A. Zildjians, probably about $500 worth.
