Kent 8 lug snare Last viewed: 4 hours ago

I have to give a huge shout out to Donnie (1966bmx) for finding this for me. There was entire Kent set for sale for $200. After speaking to the seller the kit had been painted blue inside the shells, extra holes and missing the bottom heads (possibly hoops also). I passed on the kit since I am in the midst of a project now.

The snare however was 100% original and 8 lugs! Seller was fine with $115 shipped. I will post pics when I get home. I know a lot of you guys are not excited about kent drums but I have to say that my last Orange Sparkle snare sounds amazing.

Manny, I have some Kent drums and do have interest in other peoples Kent drums. So that being said, thanks for sharing and please do post some pics for us. There are enough Kent fans here to make it worth while. When I get some time I will set mine up and post some pics.

Thank you!

It's hard to tell from the first picture but the snare was super dirty. I tried a new method for cleaning them up. I am honestly not 100% happy with it. I will likely go back to my regular method. I was trying to save a little time since I had other things going on. Anyway they cleaned up ok. The regular method normally starts with a good cleaning with high quality car wash on a sponge. From there I used Novus and then a carnuba wax. For the hardware I skipped a few steps and I can tell.

Anyway they look good enough for now. Most of my time I spent on my top secret project. I also have two gigs this week to play so I am learning all my music.
