Hi new here.

I am looking for somwhere to buy a pair of lambswool beaters with a wooden core. Many companies used to sell these up to a few years ago but they all seem to be out of business, repercussions.org for example, and a few here in the UK too.

I have seen plenty of the Speed King lambswool beaters but i am unsure how good they are and they don't look so fluffy.

I know Danmar make some modern versions, and Vater have the vintage bomber, but that has cork inside and i have heard horror stories about those, plus they are overpriced.

Any advice appreciated.

The Vater Vintage Bomb Beater was the only thing I can find.. clearly not what your are looking for but it is big and wooly.

Maybe pick up a vintage pedal on ebay with a wooly beater.. there are a couple out there right now.. some HIGH some low in price..

I've been looking for one of these for a couple years now too. I ended up just buying an old pedal to pirate a beater off of as was stated above. Those Repurcussions beaters look really nice, but I've never been able to get ahold of anyone at the company to buy one. I'd be interested in finding a good source too if anyone has any leads.

Are you based in the states JBones? Have you tried calling Repercussions on the phone, see i live in the UK.

You can call me crazy on this one but if I was in the market for this the best thing I would do is take two old worn out lambswool beaters to the Amish, that live about 20 miles up the road) and ask them to recover them with new wool. A picture of a new one would also help.

Second best would be to take two wooden beaters, and a picture of a new Lambswool beater, and ask them if they can do something to make them. Those people are amazing in some of the things they can do, and money talks with them.

Keep in mind, I get entire truck beds full of slab wood for the backyard fire for 15 bucks, so the price probably wouldn't be astronomical either........

I don't know where you live, but is there anybody that you may have not thought of that could produce something like this?

Yes I'm in the states. I attempted to contact many times, phone, email etc. with no response. This was well over a year ago. My assumption was that the place was out of business. Their wool beaters do look nice from what I can tell. :(

I ended up deciding to buy one of these.

Ludwig Speed King Lambswool beater, allegedly its a wood beater surrounded in lambswool.

I will let you guys know if i am pleased with the result, if it is as described, its not far off the ones that were sold by repercussions.org.
