Late 50's Leedy Snare Shell - **Project** Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Hola Amigos,

Today I'm offering up a project shell for sale. It's a late 50's, 8-lug Leedy shell that appears to have been a marching snare at birth. It's either 5"x14" or 5.5"x14" (forgot to measure it before I packed it up) made up of mahogany, poplar, maple construction. It is currently drilled for the double-ended Slinger-Leedy snare lugs, Leedy 3-point strainer and butt plate with bridge extension (replacements of both of these can be purchased online from Bentley's Drum Shop in Fresno, CA). One major thing to note, is that when the previous owner re-glued the bottom re-ring (I know, he should have cut the top), he didn't align the snare beds in the re-ring to match up with the strainer and butt plate. This ring will need to be removed, re-aligned and then new snare beds cut. This is why I'm listing it as a project. Only asking $10 + shipping. Anyone interested?

Anyone interested in a snare project for $10? I believe Slingerland (or possibly other brands) will fit the holes that are drilled. The spacing from center hole to hole is 2 1/4".
