Just got this drum off of eBay . It appears all original except the top head.
My question is on the tone control, I don't have any other Slingerlands that have a knob like this one, or can I find another 6 lug student drum with a tone control. It appears factory installed and has same hole spacing as all the other Slingerlands I have. I know back then any thing was possible, just wanted to see what you all thought.

No vintagemore I don't see the links. I have no clue why not.
I believe you actually need this tone control based on the current mounting holes on your shell.
