Congrats Mike!! Jeff's a good guy to deal with and a good friend. Very cool you both worked together to make some complete kits. These have to be pretty rare I never saw or heard of them before I joined here. Bass hoops look great with no inlay in them too.

i have a friend who says he has a educator snare. i only seen a pic and i believe it is not the same color of the kit.

he's not the type to keep it so i can ask if he wants to sell it if you like pm me if interested.

maybe its a combo snare? badges are close and the lugs are the same.

the combo snare does have those same lugs. even the shell on the combo snare is a plastic composite.

most vistalite combos also had plastic lugs. they were the same hole pattern as the large classic lugs. here's a shot of mine with the plastic lugs. I have now swapped them out for metal classic lugs as well for stability.

agreed. clubdate tension rods have always been suspect to this. these rods are even a bit longer and easier to bend I would imagine.

you need one rod that is 8 5/8" long?
