Congrats Mike!! Jeff's a good guy to deal with and a good friend. Very cool you both worked together to make some complete kits. These have to be pretty rare I never saw or heard of them before I joined here. Bass hoops look great with no inlay in them too.

i have a friend who says he has a educator snare. i only seen a pic and i believe it is not the same color of the kit.
he's not the type to keep it so i can ask if he wants to sell it if you like pm me if interested.

the combo snare does have those same lugs. even the shell on the combo snare is a plastic composite.
most vistalite combos also had plastic lugs. they were the same hole pattern as the large classic lugs. here's a shot of mine with the plastic lugs. I have now swapped them out for metal classic lugs as well for stability.

agreed. clubdate tension rods have always been suspect to this. these rods are even a bit longer and easier to bend I would imagine.
you need one rod that is 8 5/8" long?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
