this is the latest to the Ludwig snare collection. this is only the 4th one of these that i'm aware of. i'm sure there are more tucked away somewhere or maybe even being used not noticing the two less lugs than the normal production supras. the serial number on this one is 255427 making it a very late 65 drum most likely. it is a ludalloy shell and is just like a regular supra just having 8 lugs as opposed to 10. chrome plated, imperial lugs, white felt baseball bat muffler, p83 strainer Ludwig script logo butt plate. it looks and sounds great. no dents or dings, but does have the infamous Ludwig freckles that are seen often from this period. has chrome over steel hoops and all original matching tension rods. just a great solid drum all around. big thanks to my new friend eddie in Puerto Rico for making this happen and also forum member pipus for hooking it up as well.

I think there's more than four floating around? Joe Luoma had a sixties Supra 8 lugger at the Chicago Show a year or two back. I got one from KPac a couple years ago. They still happen these days!

Is this your first one Mike ??

yes, this is my first keystone 8 lug supra. I already had/have an 8 lug b/o badge supra.

Chrome plated Acro w/Imperials! Like a humble Acro wearing a Tuxedo! I'll bet it sounds great too.

Do you 'hear' any difference between this one and your other 8-lug Acro's?

Very cool drum...

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Mike, as always another great drum. You must have one very impressive display in your home. I had no idea there was an 8-lug supra, thank you for showing it to us.

Thank you!
