Latest new project for restoration Last viewed: 6 hours ago

So I might of mentioned earlier in this forum about my friend that works for Fender. He "gave" me a Trans-badge Duco snare (6-lugger that belonged to Freddie Tavares) a few months ago and I told him I need to pay him something.

He had told me about his neighbor having a "beat-up" kit and that it was for sale at one time. I set it up so I could look at the kit and pay my friend at the same time. The kit is beat up, but it's definitely worth of restoration, I think. I'm assuming this was a with an added tom. I have to take more pics, but the dual tom mount is definitely an add-on :( Came with some really beat up 602's, the hi-hats are all cracked on edges, the 18"crash and 20" ride are usable, but both have cracks around the center hole.

Pretty sure this is a Downbeat, with a few add-ons.

Ahh, my dear friend, it is a downbeat, that has been modified. See the pics below.

I'm sure you'd want all the specs, so here goes:

Bass drum 20 x 14, classic large lugs, white interior, Serial 479512

Floor tom 14 x 14, Classic large lugs, white interior, Serial 482293 (Stamped March 2, 1967 inside)

Tom #1, 12 x 8, Classic mini lugs, white interior, Serial 476271

Tom #2, 12 x 8, Classic mini lugs, white interior, Serial 479395, (Stamped March 1, 1967 inside)

Snare, 14 x 5 Supraphonic, has some flaking and pitting, Serial 479650

Came with some beat up stands, WFL Hi-hat and some Atlas Stands. Also included were cymbals all Paiste Formula 602 Pre-Serial. 14" Hi-Hats (cracks galore, might try to make mini-hats) 18" crash (best of the bunch, but a crack starting on center hole) 20" ride (a few cracks in bell, nice clear ping)

Hope this satisfies your curiosity and answers your questions.
