Hey Mick, I would be totally fine to get it back for any upgrades. Seriously. It is developing as it goes...and I would be more than happy to re-work anything.

In fact, I wish you would... why not??

Did I send you one of those new knobs?

Actually, there are three different types of knob, your choice..

send me an email or PM... I'll be glad to get one out to you...

"He's been playing DW pedals which have some worn out parts. I loaned him my SK and he loves it."That is SO cool.I go back and forth between the SK and an early Swiv o Matic. Maybe it's just me, but vintage stuff tops the new stuff...but then again, I'm not a slamming rocker. THEY might need the heavy duty hardware

My very first Rogers kit had a Swiv o Matic bass pedal. Great pedal. My drum teach had a Speed King on the students kit in his studio. That's where I first played one. And bought one shortly after. The SOM strap broke and the leather shop in town replaced it. Pedal was good as new after that. When I sold that kit I kept the SK and sadly gave the Rogers pedal with the kit. Each had their own place with me and like you I switched back and forth often. You should see a email from this guy soon. He really liked mine and he'll love a rebuilt from you. I hope he lets me try it out~! ;)

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Yup, can't beat the Swivo's. Of all of the Big 3 the Swivo-Matic seems to always get the call.

It did for Buddy too through all his ups and downs, ins and outs with Slingerland, Ludwig and Rogers.

Tommyp can enlighten us on that more. But the Swivo-Matic's seem to have lighter feel. Comparing it to a SK or a Speed King.

Plus..............it Swivs !

Just my:2Cents:

I just restored an old SpeedKing my dad gave me. It was nearly seized and was filthy. I took it apart, cleaned every bit of it, put some lithium grease in it and it's just like a brand new pedal. I see why people absolutely love these pedals. It's over 50 years old and can perform as good as some of the new pedals I've used or played in stores.
