Here is a vintage snare drum that I started to build 10 years ago. It came totally drilled for a snare drum with all the parts but as time went by I lost many of the parts . Now have re copped some of the part and I am rebuilding it. What do you think. https://sphotos-b-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/v/64440_10201769566591688_1617073985_n.jpg?oh=7e198ce14fefb6ea134b51a62a230e57&oe=5221BF02
Leedy & Ludwig snare invention Last viewed: 2 hours ago
Cuquito - The link is no good. Try posting it again, we can't see the photo of your drum.
John
It's good now!
Love the drum, I'm just not a big fan of wood hoops on snare drums. I'd like that one better with single-flange COB hoops and clips. Throw on a P-83 and butt plate, some Puresound split wires, crank the reso and rock & roll!
Love the Leedy lugs, so classy man. How does that bugger sound?

John Have not completed Yet I am waiting for original Leedy and Ludwig strainer and butt to come from Italy. The original hoops that came were wood also the difference was it had claws
I was going to make the suggestion that you use L&L strainer and butt end great choice.
parts just arrive will start to mount, will post more photos once finished.
Almost finished, installed Leedy strainer, butt , muffle and air vent. Now to get snare head and Snare wires and cut rim vents on rim for wires. Thinking of putting FAT CAT 24 Strand Dual Adjustable Snare Drum Wires. Any Ideas ? I have posted photos here because I cound not down load them on VDF you can see all of them as I work on the drum here.
