Was it common for leedy to omit badges on the toms that were part of a kit.

Yes,on Slinger/Leedy's until LATE 66............

That is correct. My 1963 Leedy Shelly Manne set has badges on just the snare and bass. My late 60's Slingerland set has badges on all five drums. the 14x14 badge is visible in the picture. Both of the 8x12 toms have badges facing the outside left of one and outside right of the other.

The drums are Black Sparkle. Here's a close-up of the bass drum and one of the 8x12 toms.

yeah I was supried and a little dissapointed that my 64 leedys didd'nt have badges on the tom and floortom, but on the bright side thats two less things that would have been missing from the set.

the slingerleedy's always seen to confuse people at first glance, art deco lugs, sticksaver hoops and no badges.

badges?

we dont need no stinking badges!
