Here's a rare 6x14 Leedy Broadway snare drum, I don't know much about Leedy, but ones like this are selling on ebay for between $900-1,200. I believe it's from the 40's and it's in great condition, thanks.

$700 shipped

It doesn't seem to be tampered with, so I would say yes original finish.

Top rim is wrong...as are the tension rods.....

I don't think they ever offered a straight maple outer from the factory.....

What is the date stamp inside?

Ya, I think the top hoop is a Gretsch, as for the tension rods, really? I think my asking price is more than reasonable considering what they go for on ebay.

T rods are chrome...lugs,rim are nickel.....

After July 1939.... No more solid maple...

Again...what is the date stamp inside?

I had a solid maple Leedy 8 by 14 with two 1/4 extra holes.....finish just like yours...on ebay...it was bid up to $140 or some crazy thing!

Drummer of Hoobastank finally bought it for $500 I think....a few years back......

Mine was Broadway Standard...

No date stamp?>>Never seen one without...

Solid Maple ones might be going for $800 with original finish...but once you take that off......down goes the price.....

If your drum is WHITE paint inside...it was a wrapped drum..

If NATURAL inside...it was a Duco.....
