I've got a Leedy Ludwig snare, I have one pic...as soon as I can figure out the smart phone I'll post more pics...I checked the Leedy Ludwig Vintage Snare pics and did not see this one...any help is appreciated. I also need a new throw off, I believe this is a P80? after a bit of research my best guess is late 50's...Thanks!

It will not keep tension on the snare wires...Thanks for the reply...I really don't know much about this one...kind of at a loss as to what to do...

Earlier than late 50's. There should be a 4 digit date stamp inside.

I thought Leedy & Ludwig were only made from 50-54?

Am I missing something? taken it apart...There are three / four componets...the tension Screw (which has a part that can't be removed) which mates with the housing, which, in turn, engages the lever, the housing attaches to the snare when fully assembled. When I turn the tension screw it is not a smooth 360 degree turn, it is alternately smooth, then tight ..which, to me, indicates it is slightly bent...so..I'm guessing this would this create the problem? can it be fixed? Be Replaced?

Yes, the part can be fixed. You need someone that has experience like a machinist who can tap/straighten the metal so it threads evenly. My machinist does this for me all of the time.

I'm not sure if it's been previously mentioned but your drum is a Leedy & Ludwig Broadway New Era Model.
