Leedy Ludwig snare - Year? I Also need one tension rod Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I picked up a beautiful Leedy Ludwig snare that I am bringing back to life and need some help. Not sure of the year because it has two stamps on the inside. One reads 48838 and the other 5307.

The snare wires that came with it look semi-original but I am not sure.

Also, one of the tension rods is bent and I would like to buy one if someone has one available. I tried to find one online but could not find one that match the tension head size, length or finish. I believe the era is nickel coated. Can anyone help with the dating insight if the snares are original and also if you have a tension rod for sale?

I have the same snare drum, only mine is a 6.5x14.. I restored it a few years back..

Only original parts that came with the shell were the snare drum dampener and imperial lugs..

One day i'll get period correct parts if i ever find them Hmmmm .. It records like a dream,very warm, punchy and fat, and has a wide tuning range for an 8 lug snare drum..
