Leedy Tension Rod Last viewed: 53 minutes ago

So I picked up a 1938 Leedy Broadway Standard today and I am missing 1 T-rod for it.

It is the skinnier T-rod and I have none laying around that will fit. Anyone got any laying around?

The drum is also missing it's muffler so looking for one of those as well.

I may have the T-rod you need. How long is the one you need end to end? What head is it? By the way the threads are 10/24 on these rods not 12/24.....Mikey

Mikey here is a pic, hopefully you have something that will work.

Honestly, it doesn't have to be perfect any t rod that will fit will be greatly appreciated, its the only piece preventing this drum from being played.

I did check i don't have any of these T-rods for you..Your best bet is to re-tap a 12/24 threaded rod with a 10/24 die to make your rod ...Mikey

It IS really to tap a standard 12/24 to 10/24.

You can very easily cut new correct threads using a standard tension rod of the correct length and a 10-24 die. Get a high speed steel die, not a carbon steel die, which are used for cleaning rusted or damaged threads. Should be able to buy this at lowes, home depot or any decent hardware store. Thanks guys I am going to do this as a hopefully temporary fix, but I still would like to find an original if I can.
