Legion Drums ? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hi Everyone -

does anyone have any information or hands -on experience with Legion drums? Internet info is scarce but what I gather is they were a decent custom drum company built here in the states but have since gone belly up. There is a black 5 piece kit (chrome snare) for sale at Guitar Center for $125.00 Worth the price? How about re-sale? Thanks so much!

The only Legion drums I have seen are very low end, entry level kits. That price is about where it should be.

I too am only aware of the cheap Chinese made legion drums. They are easy to identify as they look like every other cheap kit at a music store.

Legion Drums are made by Peace. They are an entry level student kit. From those that do have a kit, they're not really as bad as other student level kits.

If you plan to keep them, I would take the heads off, check for square on the shell, check bearing edges, re-cut shell straight and re-cut edges if needed (45* or 60*). Check snare bed for center and equal depth. Also check for round on the shells.

If you plan on just using them as an at home beater kit, then ignore what I said and have at 'em! Enjoy! :)
