local sale, Slingerland Bass, how much should I ask Last viewed: 1 hour ago

It hasn't gotten ANY love at $300, I'm thinking I'm well high and have come down to $275/OBO. I like to think it could get a decent price if I was willing to ship, but I am really trying to avoid that, just trying to recoup some of what I paid for the Ludwigs (this is part of a very random multi-brand gold sparkle franken kit I gigged with for a couple years).

here's my ad:

the pertinent text

This is probably a 1966. Definitely in that general era, based on shell interior and badge/serial no. The shell snd wrap are in incredible shape, the chrome is fair. The biggest flaw condition-wise is the inlay on the hoop. Currently it has the brackets for disappearing spurs, but not legs (I can include some hoop mounted spurs).I have a DW tom mount installed on the bass drum (using the original holes). The DW arm is included. I also have the original bracket for the Slingerland cymbal mount, but no arm.The rail mount is intact and in good working order.14x20 protection racket soft case available with drum for an additional $20

Willingness to ship always helps..!

A lower starting price is probably in order, as well....

Just my opinion...:):)

Thanks guys, that's what I was starting to figure: that I was starting to guess I was high on the price. I will eventually put the thing up on ebay (and here) and ship if I have to, but not having to pack and ship a drum is probably worth 50 or more bucks to me, so I'm willing to come down on the price here in town a bit more.

Would you guys put the original cymbal arm bracket back on and sell the DW arm seperately?

That would be the best move replace the original parts and separately sale the Dw parts. Good luck with the sale.

Cool. I still don't have the legs/arms but I do have the bracket (which is already included as described in the ad, but I guess I'll put it back on)
